Located in San Mateo County of the San Francisco Peninsula, Burlingame take up part of the shoreline of the San Francisco Bay. It has close proximity to the San Francisco International Airport, making it a hub for economic growth and commercial gain.

The city is known as the City of Trees with number of trees surrounding the community. There are many landscaped parks and Eucalyptus Groves including the heritage Jules Francard Grove. Washington Park is one of the oldest parks of the area. The High School is a well-renowned school offering ample educational opportunities in the Burlingame High School District.

Major highways include Highway 101 that runs near the bay from San Jose and going to San Francisco. There is also Highway 82, known as El Camino Real and Highway 35 that connects to Interstate 280. There are several neighborhoods that include Country Club Manor, Oak Grove, Ray Park, Lyon Hoag, Burlingame Estates, Burlingame Gardens, Burlingame Gate, Burlingame Park and Burlingame Terrace among many others.

Major landmarks there include the Museum of Pez Memorabilia, Guittard Chocolate, Powell’s, the Center for Libertarian Studies and The Sherman. The city has many beautiful hotels along the San Francisco Bayfront and is a significant vacation spot for people wishing to visit the San Francisco Bay Area.
